The story of WHMCS began back in 2003, when as the owner of a web hosting business himself, Matt, our founder and CEO, embarked on a mission to make something better.

Matt is the CEO and founder of WHMCS. He started WHMCS back in 2003 to help him automate and scale his own web hosting business. Fast forward to 2018, and today WHMCS is the leading web hosting automation platform used by over 45,000 companies around the world.
As CEO and Founder, Matt is involved in all aspects of the company from development to operations. He likes nothing more than working on code that can help businesses running WHMCS operate more smartly, efficiently and enable them to be the most successful they can be. Matt has built a great team that shares his passion and vision in empowering and scaling the world's web hosting businesses.

David leads the development team and is responsible for the release and maintenance of WHMCS software.
As part of the executive team, David provides strategic and technical advice on everything from business development, to internal and external operations, to software technologies and architecture.
He is passionate about delivering value to our customers by continuously designing and developing solutions that simplify and scale their business.
Part poet, David studied Liberal Arts at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to WHMCS, he worked as a developer for cPanel focusing on their integration stack, the external development community, and business development.

As our partner manager, Johnny focuses on managing relationships with our resellers as well as catalysing and strengthening strategic collaborations with our SaaS and PaaS corporate partners such as Symantec, Weebly, Enom and ResellerClub.
With over 10 years experience working in the hosting and domain industry, Johnny has worked in various sales and business development roles for companies such as Enom where he managed channel sales team and led the growth of the top reselling partners.
Having run a small business himself - an internet cafe in Seattle - he understands the goals and pain points of small business owners and this is what drives him to work with hosting companies towards growth and success of their business.

John joined WHMCS in 2008 and is one of our longest serving support members. Having worked every support position and shift available, he now leads our 24/7 customer service and support team around the world.
Having previously been a customer, he is well positioned to understand our customer’s needs. John first discovered WHMCS while working for a hosting company in the UK; they'd tried many billing platforms before finding a complete solution with WHMCS. He realised what a great product it is, and enjoyed contributing to our community forum until eventually joining the company full time.
Ten years and counting John continues to play an integral role in our team and company growth.
